This circuit illustrates alternative loads controlled by a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch.
For this circuit, you will need the battery, one switch, two sockets and two lightbulbs.

Understanding This Circuit
- With your finger trace the path of the electricity starting from the battery and returning to the battery. Be sure to trace both paths of the electric current in the version you wired.
- Trace both paths of the electric current in the version you did not wire.
