👩‍💻 Creating a Scratch Account

What’s Scratch?

Scratch is a tool for writing code using blocks. This will help us learn important computer science concepts without worrying about typing out code. Scratch also provides really cool sprites and other drawings we’ll be using for our animations.

Creating an Account

First, visit the Scratch website by clicking here.

Then, in the top right corner, press “Join Scratch”.

Next, create a cool username and a secure password. Make sure you don’t use your name in your username!

After this, you’ll be asked a few more questions about your country, birthday, and gender, followed lastly by your email address.

You can start using Scratch right away, but to share your projects, you’ll have to go to your email and click the verification link Scratch sent you.
