🤨 How Do Drones See The World?

How Do Drones See The World?

Our five senses help us understand the world around us: sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste. Drones, on the other hand, don't have the parts we do to do these things. So how do they get along with the rest of the world?

Simple. Their sensors help them! Sensors are devices that can find and/or measure a certain amount of something and turn that information into a readable signal that can be shown or figured out by a system. Just like our eyes, ears, nose, taste buds, and skin give us the ability to see, hear, smell, taste, and feel certain things and figure out what they mean, sensors built into technology give machines the ability to figure out where they are and how to get where they need to go.

In this lesson, we'll learn about the different sensors on our drones and how they help them stay in the air.
