๐ŸŽฎ Gametime | Moral Machine

Now let us put our theories to the test.

Here is a diagram showing two situations that a self-driving car might find itself in. On the left, if the car does nothing and keeps moving forward, three pedestrians crossing the street when it’s not their turn will be hit and severely injured (it looks like two are doctors). On the right, if the car swerves to avoid the pedestrians, it will save three people but severely injure three dogs.

If you were the engineer, what would you program the car to do?

Here’s another scenario:

In the one on the left, two older men will die if the car does nothing. On the right, two younger women will die if the car swerves into them.

Which direction should the car take?
