Sonic Pi Setup

We will be using the program Sonic Pi to write code and create music! To install this program, simply visit www.sonic-pi.net in the browser of your choice and download the appropriate program for your operating system. Follow the downloading instructions on your computer.

Not Sure Which Version You Have?

To check which version your Operating System (OS) is, follow these steps:

Windows Users

The Edition will show you which version of Windows you’re using.

Mac Users

Click the apple icon on the top left of your screen and select About This Mac from the drop down menu.

Note the version number as shown by the arrow.

Once you have done that, we can move on to exploring the interface!
