Step 4: Servo Calibration

When driving your car, it’s important to ensure that all servos are calibrated so that it will drive on the path you want! Follow the steps below to get them all aligned correctly:

  1. You will first need to SSH into your car.
  2. After entering your username and password, type the command sh calibration.sh and then press Enter.
  3. Select the servo that needs calibrating.
    Example: Press 1 if the direction servo needs calibrating.
  4. To change the direction, press W to make the wheels move (calibrate) to the right and S to make the wheels move (calibrate) to the left.
  5. After calibration for that servo has been completed, press the Space Bar and then click y.
  6. You should then see a message stating the calibration value has been saved.
  7. To exit calibration, press Control and C on your keyboard.
